Quantity Surveyor
Due to ongoing Company expansion, CARLIN are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our growing practice. The successful candidate will be working on both high end residential schemes, commercial developments and leading educational projects. Our team have been involved with many interesting and significant projects across Ireland and the UK. This key role will be based at our Head Office in Wicklow, working closely with the Director and travelling to sites throughout Ireland as required.
Overview of Role
The role of Quantity Surveyor will cover the whole project lifecycle from initial inception through to completion. It will include all aspects of quantity surveying from preparation of estimates and tender documentation through the feasibility, design and procurement processes and all aspects of post contract cost control until project completion.
The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the following:
Estimating.
Cost planning.
Risk management.
Report Writing.
Pre and Post Contract Administration.
Procurement.
Post Contract Cost Control.
Cost reporting.
Final account.
Experience
Degree level qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or similar and Registered or eligible to register with the SCSI/RICS.
Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within a cost consultancy, multidisciplinary or construction company.
Ideally you will be working toward your SCSI or RICS Chartership, although individual circumstances will be considered.
The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Client focused, excellent client management skills.
Excellent analytical and organisational skills.
Good attention to detail and the ability to analyse and interpret contractual documents.
Strong IT skills, knowledge of CostX desired.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ambitious and committed to deliver an excellent standard of work to clients.
Must hold eligibility to work in Ireland.
Must hold a valid driving licence.
